What a fun time I had with this project. As fun as it was, it did create a few challenges. Figuring out how to attach the arrangement to the skull proved to be interesting. First we adhered floral clay to the bottom of the IGLU and pressed it to the top of the skull, then drilled holes into either side of the skull, and threaded floral wire through, and twisted the wire on either side of the IGLU to add security. Now that we had the foam on there secure I ran into another problem…the skull was now top heavy. I had to sleep on this one for a solution but I found one. Drill a hole large enough to fit a funnel and fill partially full of sand. the problem was solved. I chose this method verses carving out a hole large enough to fit the foam into because I want my client to be able to use this skull for other things once the flowers have expires.
